Happy Monday! Can you believe it’s already April? Time sure flies, even during these unprecedented times. Since we’ve been on an on-and-off lockdown here, I’ve been more focused on taking care of my skin and hair. My March beauty favourites consists of a mix of skin, lip, and hair care, so let’s get started!

Hair Care Loves

I recently started paying more attention to my scalp and hair after noticing a bit more hair loss than usual. After doing some research, I decided to focus on my scalp first since that’s where the hair is falling from. I picked up the Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Cooling Hydration Mask, and I’m 100% obsessed. I’ve been using this twice a week after shampooing, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my scalp health – less irritation, itching, and flaking.

When my scalp and hair are fully dry, I apply half a syringe of The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density all over my scalp and massage it in for five minutes. I’ve seen more baby hairs pop up after using this serum for the past three months, so I can definitely say that this, coupled with the Brigeo Scalp Revival Hydration Mask, has helped stimulate hair growth.

For an all-in-one hair treatment on damp hair, I’m loving the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat & UV Protective Primer. This helps detangle, control frizz, condition, and protect my coloured hair against heat and UV. Best of all, it doesn’t weigh down my thin hair!

Lip Balm + Mask

Lip care favourites

Since wearing a face mask became the norm, I’ve ditched most of my lip products for lip balms and masks. I’ve been obsessed with the Lano Lanostick Minty*. I love how hydrating and rich the formula is without being heavy or greasy. This balm also helps to protect my lips from chapping and chafing inside my mask. If you don’t love mint-scented products, they also have an unscented version.

For those nights where the air is extra dry, I love applying a thick layer of the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. The next morning, I’m left with soft and plump lips. The yummy Sweet Candy scent is an added bonus to the entire experience.

Favourite Face Serums

Face serum favourites

I’ve been on a serum kick these past few months and have been reaching for three particular ones the most. My skin loves a good chemical exfoliant, which is why Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow is my absolute favourite. The formula is gentle enough to use two to three times a week, and my skin is always less congested, brighter, and smoother.

After applying acids, I always go in with a calming serum and the Cosrx Pure Fit Cica Serum is the best one I’ve tried to this day. Cica is an amazing ingredient to soothe the skin, and this one is formulated with seven Centella ingredients to relieve irritated skin and reinforce your skin barrier. If you’re looking for an extra boost of relief, I’ve heard that mixing their Pure Fit Cica Powder with this serum does the trick.

Vitamin c is a must for me in the mornings, and the Youth to the People 15% Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum* has quickly become a holy grail of mine. This has been the ONLY vitamin c serum I’ve tried that has worked for me, and I’ve tried a lot on the market. Not only does it help brighten up dark spots and even out skin tone, but this formula also helps depuff, which is why I love it for the mornings.

A Maskne Lifesaver

Face treatment favourite

The Inkey List Succinic Acid Treatment* has been a lifesaver for me when it comes to maskne. My acne heals so much faster with this treatment. I also find that this formula helps with those pesky hyperpigmentation that blemishes tend to leave behind. I have heard some say that this treatment doesn’t cut it for them. Just remember, when it comes to skincare, not everyone will achieve the same results. Luckily, this one is pretty affordable, so even if it doesn’t work out, it won’t hurt as much.

New Favourite Eye Gel

Morning eye cream favourite

Last but not least, I’ve been obsessed with the Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel*. This not only helps soothe my puffy under eyes in the morning, but also helps brighten those dark circles. A little goes a long way with this eye gel, and with it already being so inexpensive, this eye gel is a real winner.

That wraps up my March beauty favourites. What beauty products have you been loving lately? Also, be on the lookout for my Sephora Spring Sale Recommendations, coming your way very soon!
