Sephora Spring Savings Event Top Makeup Picks

It’s that time of year again, and if you’re thinking “you mean, the Sephora Spring Savings Event?”, you’re absolutely correct. Although it’s a very difficult time for the world right now, I’m glad that they’re continuing with the sale online. This at least gives us some sort of normalcy, no matter how small it is, during these chaotic times. Sephora Rouge members get early access to their 20% discount starting today, 4/17 to 5/1 using code SPRINGSAVE (some exclusions apply). Dates for all Beauty Insider tiers are as follows:

  • Rouges get 20% off from 4/17 to 5/1
  • VIBs get 15% off from 4/21 to 4/29
  • BIs get 10% off from 4/23 to 4/27

I’ve rounded up my absolute makeup favourites for the complexion, cheeks, eyes, and lips. Since I know many of you are saving during these times (as am I), I was super picky when curating my top picks list. So without further ado, let’s get chatty about makeup!

LIP FAVOURITES

Lip Favourites

I picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk (CAD 39) for my birthday back in February, and I’ve been using it non-stop! It has also taken a really special place in my heart because it was the shade I wore on my engagement day. It’s my perfect everyday rosy neutral, and I can see why it’s become such an icon in the beauty community.

Mac Cosmetics makes some of my favourite lipstick formula of all time. Their Satin Lipsticks (CAD 24) are my top pick, and some of my favourite shades are Modesty, Brave, and Twig. I also love Velvet Teddy, which is in their matte formula. Their Lip Pencils (CAD 23) are also great for defining the lips and helping any lipstick last longer on the lips. Cultured, Staunchly Stylish, and Nice ‘N’ Spicy are all extremely versatile and can be used for any nude lips.

The Too Faced Peach Puff Diffused Matte Lip Colours (CAD 25) have become some of my most used liquid lips. The formula is a true matte, but still super comfortable. The soft, diffused look these give my lips make them the perfect lippie to wear everyday. I love the shades Boy Bye, Day Drinking, and You Wish.

Sephora Spring Savings Event: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs

The one lip product I think everyone needs in their life is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs (CAD 25). There are currently six shades in her line, and I recommend any (and all) shades. I absolutely love the sweet scent of these glosses, and the formula is so comfortable, non-sticky, and ultra glossy.

CHEEK FAVOURITES

Sephora Spring Savings Event: Too Faced Natural Face Palette

The Too Faced Natural Face Palette (CAD 58) always makes an appearance while I’m doing my makeup. It has a total of six shades – 2 bronzers, 2 blushes, and 2 highlighters – making the palette super versatile and perfect for traveling and everyday use.

For a more intense, pearl-golden glow, I’ve been loving the Benefit Cookie Highlighter (CAD 40). For a more versatile compact, Fenty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby (CAD 48) is a beautiful option for my light-medium skin tone. It offers a more subtle lit-from-within sheen on one side, while the other is a more blinding, metallic highlight.

Lastly, the limited edition Anastasia Beverly Hills Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit (CAD 53) is one that I’d highly recommend picking up during the sale if you’ve had your eyes on it. It was first launched in 2017, but was brought back this year by popular demand. It has six gorgeous shades that have the same amazing highlighter formula as all the other ABH highlighters.

EYE FAVOURITES

Natasha Denona eyeshadows are hands-down my favourite shadow formula. They are quite pricey, so if you’ve had your heart set out on any one of her palettes, now’s the time to splurge. My favourites are the Gold (CAD 170) and the Sunrise (CAD 86) palettes. For a full review on the Sunrise palette, check out my post here. You can also never go wrong with her minis (CAD 33) if you’re looking to try her shadows without breaking the bank.

Sephora Spring Savings Event: Eye Favourites

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe (CAD 28) and the Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow in 3 Neutral Light Brown (CAD 32) are my brow staples. Other eye makeup staples include the Marc Jacobs Velvet Primer (CAD 35), the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black (CAD 36), and the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in the shades Kitten Karma, Smoldering Satin, and Smoky Storm (CAD 31).

COMPLEXION FAVOURITES

Sephora Spring Savings Event: Complexion Favourites

The Benefit Porefessional Primer (CAD 43) has been a long-time love for me. I use it on my t-zone to fill in my pores and smooth out my skin. A newer primer that I absolutely adore is the Milk Hydro Grip Primer (CAD 40). I apply this all over my face after the Porefessional to create a slightly tacky base that really holds onto all the makeup I apply on afterwards.

The Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation (CAD 45) has been my favourite ever since it launched. Its soft matte finish helps keep my oily skin under control without making my complexion look dull and flat. Another favourite since its launch is the Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer (CAD 38). The shade Golden Beige works beautifully to brighten the under eyes for my warm light-medium skin tone.

To set all the liquid products in place, my top pick is the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder (CAD 51). I love setting my entire face as well as baking my t-zone with this powder to lock everything in place.

    1. I used to spend so much at Sephora on a monthly basis, but now I try to wait for these sales to make most of my purchases so I at least save some money!
